I forgot an important point. Keep in mind the player I'm calling a rockstar at 300 OR today will most likely be something like perhaps a 400 OR (I'm guessing) if he came out of the higher levels of SA which nobody has built yet. On the same thought the 200 OR player will be rejected or sold when he comes out of those highest level SA due to market saturation and his lower quality.

I fail to grasp how a Team NoName player wins the LW all-star today with 1g 1a +2 ... when my player posts 2g 2a +4.

Both my team and his played Team NoNames. Though his had a SLIGHTLY better OTR by approximately 1 ... my extra goal, assist, and +2 were not enough to overcome his "monster" 2-point-day?

I guess the algorithm was so shocked to see someone from a no-name score they gave it to him...
that does seem a bit odd though.

It has to do with the difference in strength between opponents. Your team has a much higher OTR than the NoName you played, thus your winger lighting it up is to be expected. With the two NoNames being more or less equal, a goal and assist performance is considered to be more impressive.

That algorithm sucks.

As long as I'm crying ... what's up with the NY Ranger's St. in my division not changing over to a Team NoName yet? If this season ends with him still there and he ties up two of the Save % category bonuses, ...

well... you could see me being a bit miffed about that as well since the guide says teams are replaced after 22 days of inactivity.

The team has a cross next to it instead of going NoName. It means the team is locked out and won't be replaced with a new manager this season. Which is something that can happen to a NoName. However it will play as good (or rather as bad) as your typical NoName team. This is the first team I've seen with a cross next to it in the lowest division though.

Eitherway the goalie that is playing now will get scored on a lot more which will drop his stats. The one that isn't playing will be removed from the Save % rankings because of the minimum requirement of 1/3 total TOI.

Only the top 8.

All of them, though split in 3. First 8 battle for promotion. Next 8 battle for places 9-16, then the final 4 battle for places 17-20.

Since you're in Div III, which is the lowest, there is no relegation tied to these positions. So they may not seem that important. However your sponsorship offer for next season will largely be influenced by your final ranking so even if you're not in the top 8 playoff it is still important to finish well.

Well yeah, but only the top 8 are in the actual promotion (ie. real) playoffs. LOL

If you look at your standings, the red lines divide it into 3 groups of 8, 8, and 4. Each group has its own playoff. If you click on playoff and then Season 2, you can see the format of the playoffs, which for the top two groups is 3 rounds of best of 3, and the last group is 2 rounds of best of 3.

Guide: Each season at PowerPlay Manager lasts 16 weeks, 112 days to be exact. First, the regular season lasts 13 weeks and each team plays 38 regular season games. + 6 minimum in playoffs.
Me: other than that you can have 68 more games in a season - can be friendlies, Nat Cup games.....
