Yes, you read that correctly.
I want the worst goalie ever.
If anyone ever pulls, or spots the worst goalie ever on the market let me know! I need a player who has virtually no score in goaltending, and as low as possible in pass/tec.
Basically what I am trying to figure out is exactly how much does the primary goaltender contribute to the Goaltending Stars for your team, and how much does the secondary contribute.
I also hope if I can get enough data, that I can solve a separate question.
What is the actual goal tending strength of a particular goalie.

80% starter, 20% backup for tenders. For goalie strength take goal atty and divide by 2.25. So goal 45 is 45/2.25 which is 20 stars. There are other factors/bonuses the contribute including chemistry and exp. Plus there are energy penalties as well that seem to start showing up below 95% seasonal energy. This is approximate but I find this approach very close. In my team this approach has predicted stars very accurately. Other aspect is primary atty recognition. I personally put that at twice the lowest secondary atty. This is merely my theory and others definately don't agree. The wieghted factor for shot is 80% of forwards and 20% contribution by defensemen with a divisible factor of 1.75 on the average of the two net numbers.
I will keep those in mind when I check this out.
I can mathematically prove exact numbers if I can get a goalie that is bad enough.
I will have to play him as my G2 for 2 league games, but it should be fine.
Actually on that note, am I correct in my observation that the Stars for your teams strength only seem to update after a competitive league game?

I've seen some lower guys on the market... so someone has to beat a 1 goaltending, with a 14/9 on the secondaries
Stars after league matches for the update.
You'd need a guy with 0 experience and 0 chem to see stars just for the position 1st. Vlady says no penalties for excessive secondary attys in the game engine so buy a noob with 1 goalie and try your experiment or wait for a pull with it.

I have a Dman with 1 in the Goal Attribute . He has chem tho. And lots of Pass and Tech
Vlady said that?
So like secondaries that are way higher than main still count completely?
Boo, I was hoping they'd be penalized like the primary is when there are low secondaries.
Also, Oil, I am basically using this crappy goalie to eliminate a variable.. if I can put someone in G2 position who is almost like having no one, I can represent them as 'delta' in the equation, and then do some calculus and say as delta approaches 0, what is the formula for the number of stars I was given for that game.
So I would need to know the number of stars you were awarded on your team strength the game you played that goalie.

its hard to say they are not at least 80-90% representative of success...
Check all the I.1 leagues.
Its almost an ordering of the OTS
Since this game is not chess, it won't ever guarantee you victory, but keep saying, holding pocket rockets can't hurt (poker reference).
Also, tactics/energy use come into the equation to mess up that ordering of OTS.
I think there is at least a little room for other tactics, but since they are a lot harder for us to determine because there are no stars for faceoffs, and checking, we can't tell how well we are doing in those areas. Also since there are no stars for them, I think that suggests they are not amongst the top 4 most important things.

Vlady said there is no penalty for high secondaries.
Basically a 50-100-100 is not worse than a 50-80-80

I wouldn't say worse, but I was wondering if it truncated it to some number.. so it would never be worse but it might be the same. But it seems like you are saying 50-100-100 is better than 50-80-80 and better than 50-50-50... but probably not A LOT better is my guess
