A shootout loss to France today means we can still get to the playoffs IF, Slovakia beats France in regulation tomorrow, AND we beat Sweden in regulation tomorrow!! Get those fingers crossed!!
Thanks to all!! First line was awesome today!! Tomorrow will be tough, as the Czech Republic comes in as the top seed!! Last season, they clubbed us 9-2 in the bronze medal game! Hoping for a little better result tomorrow, maybe even an upset!!!
It's nice to see my guy Duerden shine (1G, 3A in a 4 goals game) at an important moment in the game!
Good job!
Good job!
He gets a chance to repeat today as energy allows for him to have the same line-mates on the first line again today!!!
Today went pretty much as expected. Not a bad result against a country that has 1,000+ more hockey teams than we do!! Thanks to all for your support and training efforts. We shall give it our best effort again next season.
My facilities aren't enough to keep Aaron Deschenes in the NT, unfortunately, I think he may end up dropping out of contention.
You have been doing well in building your facilities. However, you will always lag behind until you reach lvl 15 in training at least (some others also have some impact). It takes time. In the meantime, I would advise to send your very good youngsters to the market asap in order to get good money to fund those infrastructures. You are coming along well. Each level of improvement on facilities will pay off in spades.
This discussion has arisen before and we do not agree. If you want to keep your best players then do so. I don't know who the player above is but at the end of the day you probably won't get rich by selling him and I question if the money will make a big difference in your facility development. Of course, keeping the guy will slow down his development and sure, he won't be a national team player. But he is yours. You got him. Selling him only makes the teams that are better than you even better and your financial/structural development will happen anyways, just a bit slower. Scout and check my guy Mitch "The Bitch" Larocque. Stud qualities that I refused to sell and became a very useful player on my team anyways. The rich are already rich. F*&# them!
Given the guy is already 18, he's lost a fair amount of appeal on the market since that's 3 our of about 5 seasons off of his maximum development. At this point you might as well keep him and use him. Sometimes exp will trump OR
Of course. In this case he would not get top attention and it is nice to develop your players, but in the case of the very best prospects, you can sometimes sell them on the market for 50, 80, 100M. If you can do that, you speed off your infrastructures building process by 100 days or more. This has tremendous value. Whereas sleeping said player lowers his value continually by not having the best training possible.
To each their own, but when I was still building my team, I regretted each time I did not sell a top player. The "decent" players can be kept of course.
