Well, another 3-1 loss to Poland ending our chances. They were much strongr and finished with a silver medal. This season, the Polish national senior manager sent us a message of condolences for beating us again, and wished us good luck in next season's contest with the hope that we will not face them until the medal rounds next time. Thanks for the roses, but we prefer something a little more lasting. Now, on with the adjustments for next season. Congratulations to the U17 squad on their silver medal achievement. Well done, and well deserved!! It gives us hope for the future.
Some player changes have been made already. We are slowly weeding out the 0/6ers whose talent level has fallen below starter requirements. With the rebuilding efforts over the last couple of years, our overall team chemistry should start out higher than it's been for quite some time. This should also allow for less energy spent to achieve and maintain competitive chemistry levels. With more and more 0/6ers leaving, we are starting to see players whose performance levels at the end of the tournament are less affected than in recent years. Each season, we discover one or two new offshore prospects as their FA contracts come up. In short, our team although just a little less talented is starting to show signs of growth as opposed to stagnation. Notwithstanding the U20 performance of this past season, and encouraged by the U17 success this season (silver medal), we are confident that the best senior team possible, at the highest level of team chemistry shows a real possibilty of continuing into the coming years. Although I am constantly checking, I thank the other two national team managers for their excellent efforts in discovering the younger talents. Thank you all for your continued support.
In this season's World Cup Sr. grouping:
Poland..........2
Croatia.........7
Canada.........10
Denmark........19
As usual, the road to the World Cup championship goes through our arch-nemesis, Poland.
I am SOOOO excited!!!
On the brighter side, this may mean that if we qualify, we may not meet them again until the later rounds or not at all if someone we have had better luck against can "knock them off"!

The senior team may well be in the best position in recent years to compete in the world championships. All 49 players have chemistry in the 90s (team avg is 95). The 28 starters all still have 100% energy. With 2 friendlies to go.
The bottom half of the roster managed to win or force OT in 6 of the 12 friendlies played so far. In many of these games, players were played out of position in order to maximize team chemistry. The top half who are even better should fare well in this season's tournament.
Tactics are improving to the extent that we will soon be comfortable playing any style any time.
The number of 0/6s is down again this season without affecting team performance.
With a little luck, we should improve our overall world standing.

Monster away win over Croatia today!
In addition to putting us in great shape to move on, it has implications for the world standings as our respective points going into this season are very close. Big home game against our arch nemesis Poland tomorrow.

I don't know how we won this... With their strenght and the tactic matchup, this is a good ending for us.
On the other hand, U20 weren't as lucky. They did well, but couldn't get a win at home.

Mostly prepartion, preparation, preparation.
ALL starters were at 100% chemistry and 99+ energy.
In addition, I did extensive tactics research on Croatia, their manager, and his home team tactics and tendencies.
As far as the U20 team, I see no reason why they should have lost, but I do not have access to their current stats.
Good luck to all three teams for the remainder of the tournament.

U20 looks decent on paper, but our lines 3 and 4 didn't quite get the chemistry they should've had during friendlies, so that may have factored in a little.
I was supposed to help georgejeanne out and explain how I'd found was best to manage the U20 team, but I kept forgetting when I had a chance to and it's kind of a hard thing to explain, lol. So I would make small changes to the lineups/roster sometimes a bit last minute and that probably didn't help.
I'll take responsibility for this, I should've had better communication xD

lol Kroko,
You take the blame when you are GM and you even take it when you are not.
Sometimes we lose games we should win. It's especially tough in a short tournament like this one, but it's still a reality and something we have to deal with.
Canada still looks too good for this level and we can hope for a good outcome.
